A MOU signing ceremony was held in local hotel in Islamabad between leading manufacturing pharmaceutical company Bio-Labs Pvt. Ltd. and Islamabad’s biggest Pharmacy Chain D Watson Pharmacies. According to MOU both organizations will promote the community pharmacy in the country. Both companies will engage in promoting awareness among the community regarding basic health and drug information for patients.
Ceremony was attended by the board of directors of Bio-Labs and D Watson, senior management, number of pharmacists and eminent doctors.
Director D Watson Mr Zafar Bakhtawari said that joining hands of both companies to help out patients is the primary goal of this MOU he further said that D Watson pharmacies always prefer best possible services to the patients and has been serving the community for more than four decades.
Director D Watson Mr Zahid Bakhtawari said that his organization is fully aligned with the idea of promoting community pharmacy services among the patients and acknowledged the efforts made by bio-Labs.
Director D Watson Mr. Abid Bakhtawari appreciated the idea of community pharmacy and involvement of Bio-Labs in this regard.
Managing Director Bio-Labs Pvt Ltd. Mr. Usman Shaukat highlighted the major milestones achieved by the company. Particularly during the COVID -19 Pandemic where Bio-Labs was the first and leading company in providing the RIVONA (Remdesivir) a novel drug used for the treatment of COVID. Mr Usman mentioned that thousands of patients were treated during the peak pandemic days and Bio-Labs was the front runner in fighting the disease in challenging time. He further added that bio-Labs and D Watson were closely working during pandemic and his company is keen to carry on the collaboration to further increase the service to community.
Founding Chairman of Bio-Labs Mr. Chaudhry Shaukat Hussain praised the efforts made in this regard and extended his best wishes for the collaboration of Bio-Labs and D Watson.
GM Marketing and Sales of Bio-Labs Mr. Ahmed Mujtaba highlighted the importance of connecting community to pharmacy. In his speech he said that there are more than 100 thousand pharmacies in Pakistan but very few pharmacies are running on the idea of Community Pharmacy and there is big need to promote the concept and providing general public with the international standard pharmacy services.
In last Director Bio-Labs Mr. Rizwan Shaukat thanked all the participants on the occasion and showed commitment to the cause of community service.
